Historic Recreations
The objects and implements of the peoples of the past are our link to their experience. What we make and what we take in to our hands becomes a part of who we are and how we live. By making and using the implements of history we make the most basic connection to our common past, gaining new insights as to who we were, where we have come from and where we are going. Wood and fine woodworking is an intracal component of our common history. Custom design and hand craftsmanship were a matter of course for our ancestors. If you were in need of something, you sought out the craftsman who dealt in that trade and they made it for you. Our studio offers that same opportunity to the peoples of the future by designing and making custom objects from history. Whether it is a meticulous reproduction of an existing artifact or the recreation of a known or speculated item. For us history is not “was” but rather “IS”.
